Having grown up in Miami Beach, with four generations of family living nearby, Micky Steinberg understands the value of providing a strong quality of life for all Miami Beach residents and businesses. A graduate of Miami Beach Senior High School, Micky appreciates the importance of a local quality education. It was during her school years that Micky learned by working together with others she could bring change to her community. Over her years of service, Micky has put to work her teamwork approach to bring positive and sustainable change to our community.

Family-Focused
Some of Micky’s fondest moments have been the time spend with her grandmother, who played a central role in her upbringing. Micky continues to cherish the special bond she shared with her grandmother. Micky and her sisters were taught the values of hard work and determination by her parents. In July 2005, Micky married Richard Steinberg, a Miami Beach native whose family is dedicated to public service. They are the proud parents of two amazing children.

Business Acumen
Micky’s professional career started in the hospitality industry in Miami Beach where she worked to enhance the experience of residents, and visitors by focusing on first-class customer service. After several years in hospitality business, she shifted her career to real estate. As a licensed realtor, she applied her extensive knowledge of Miami Beach’s dynamic real estate market to work for her clients.

Committed to Service
Commissioner Steinberg has a long and impressive record of community involvement. Her strong commitment to Miami Beach residents includes serving as a member of the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority Committee, the Miami Beach Police Citizens Relations Committee as well as ample involvement with various nonprofit organizations, such as the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami. Micky is also a lifetime member of Hadassah. As a result of her efforts to better our community, Micky has also been recognized as a Woman of Valor by the Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center.

Micky currently serves as Chair of the Neighborhoods Committee, participates on the County’s Tourism Development Committee and is the City’s representative at the Miami-Dade League of Cities. She serves on the City’s Land Use Committee and is the immediate past Chair of the Sustainability and Resiliency Committee. She is also a City Commission Designee of the Committee for Quality Education in Miami Beach and has completed the Good Government Initiative’s Leaders of Excellence Program for elected officials in state and local government.
